Biological Dosimetry, Mutagenicity Testing and Environmental Mutagenesis Research

The estimation of DNA damage can be tedious and time consuming, since in many cases the expected effects are very low, the inter-individual variations may be quite large, and the effects not always easy to see. Therefore automation of scoring and proper documentation of results are important factors for the quality of studies in this field. Pathology and Tissue Microarray Analysis

The analysis of tissue sections can be tedious, because experience is needed to localize the regions of interest and to detect and assess cell features. However, in view of the number of samples to be analyzed per day or per year in an average pathology institute, automation of this process is highly desirable. Animal and Plant Cytogenetics

Though Ikaros and Isis already provide karyotype forms for a variety of species, the integrated karyotype form editor allows to adapt the software to the specific needs of multiple species analysis. The metaphase finder Metafer MSearch has an integrated training module, that can be adapted to any kind of metaphases. Routine FISH analysis (i.e. of cattle sperm) can be performed with Metafer MetaCyte, the multiparametric cell feature analysis system.
