B-tect, BD-tect, and DAPI / Antifade*
24XCyte, XCyte and XaCyte kits use five (XaCyte: six) different fluorochromes. Four of them are coupled directly to the probes. The remaining fluorochromes are indirectly attached using Biotin for Cy™5 and Digoxigenin for Cy™5.5.
Our B-tect kit is used for the detection of Biotin with Streptavidin-Cy™5. B-tect is therefore required for use with both the 24XCyte mFISH kit and for the XCyte mBAND kits (chromosomes 1 - 12 and X). The optional Cy™5 amplification kit supplements B-tect, utilizing an additional antibody amplification to enhance the Cy™5 signals.
BD-tect was designed for use with our arm specific mFISH kit XaCyte. It is required for the detection of Biotin with Streptavidin-Cy™5, and the detection of Digoxigenin with AlexaŽ700 coupled to mouse antibodies.
DAPI / Antifade is included in both the B-tect and BD-tect kits. In addition it is available separately for those kits not containing Biotin labelled probes.
