X^aCyte Human Armspecific mFISH (Multicolor FISH) Painting Kit*

Using the principle of the 24XCyte mFISH kit, MetaSystems has developed the X^aCyte kit for armspecific mFISH analysis. The partial chromosome paints are indirectly labelled with an additional fluorochrome (see BD-tect). This additional color channel in X^aCyte extends the value of any mFISH-analysis by almost doubling the number of identifiable chromosome sections.

With X^aCyte, any rearrangement can be assigned not only to a specific chromosome, but also to one of its chromosome arms, thus increasing the number of aberrations that are visualized within one experiment. Despite this additional information, hybridization of specimen with X^aCyte is just as easy as with the 24XCyte mFISH kit.
