XCAP Arm Specific Human Chromosome Painting Kit*
XCAP armspecific paints differentially label the p- and q-arms of chromosomes. These probe kits can be used to determine on which chromosome arm a rearrangement occurs. Unlike whole chromosome paints, intrachromosomal aberrations such as pericentric inversions are easily visualised due to the specific color pattern. XCAP probe kits are chromosome specific and comprise both p- and q-arm partial chromosome paints. They are directly labelled with FITC (green emission; p-arm) and with Texas Red® (red emission; q-arm), and are available for all human chromosomes, with the exception of the acrocentric chromosome classes 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22. Like the XCP probe kit, XCAP is hybridized with a simple protocol and optimized for quality and stability.
