24XCyte Human mFISH (Multicolor FISH) Painting Kit*

The 24XCyte multicolor FISH (mFISH) probe kit consists of 24 different chromosome painting probes with specific fluorochrome combinations for all human chromosomes (5 fluorochromes plus counterstain are used in total). In a single hybridization experiment marker chromosomes, complex chromosomal rearrangements, and all numerical aberrations can be visualized simultaneously.

MetaSystems is unique in offering an integrated mFISH package, including the 24XCyte kit, carefully selected narrow-band fluorescence filters, and the powerful yet easy-to-use imaging system Isis. Precise identification of chromosomes and determination of rearrangements can be made easily using the sophisticated analysis tools in Isis.

The filter based method of mFISH allows for the direct inspection of the original hybridization signals and, thus, overcomes the need for additional control experiments with conventional chromosome paints to verify the initial findings.

The 24XCyte mFISH kit has been proven to give excellent results with preparations such as lymphocytes, bone marrow, and cultured cell lines. The 24XCyte kit is supplied as a ready-to-use formulation and so results can quickly be determined.

* The number of tests per kit is dependent on the size of the coverslips used. 60µl is sufficient for 5 (under 24x24mm² coverslips), 6 (under 22x22mm² coverslips) or 8 hybridizations (under 18x18mm² coverslips).
